day 59 (trek 2): put a psalm in my heart

We’ve almost completed our sixty-day reading and sketching of the Psalms! Read and mark up Psalm 144-146 today.

Ps. 144 is what I’ll read this morning and smoke on a mountain ridge ablaze will find its way out of the pencil lead.

“Bow your heavens, O Lord, and come down! Touch the mountains so that they smoke!” (144.5)

Ps. 145 is what I’ll read at mid-day. A picture of a stick figure passing something on to another stick figure is what I’ll attempt to scratch out in my Bible’s margin. Here’s why:

One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. … Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.” (145.4,13)

Ps. 146 is what I’ll read near the end of this evening. I’ll make an illustration of a set of justice scales.

“Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God … who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry.” (146.5,7)
