day 35 (trek 2): put a psalm in my heart

Today we read Psalm 90-92 in PPMH project.

Read Ps. 90 this morning. Mountains get marked up in my Bible’s margin here.

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” (90.2)

Around noon, read Ps. 91. A lion is what I’ll draw for this psalm.

“For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.” (91.11-13; cf. Matt. 4.6; Luke 4.10-11)

Ps. 92 is for our reading tonight. I’ll sketch a palm tree now.

“The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.” (92.12)
