Today is the third day of our second sixty-day trek thru the Psalms with MoSt Church. Today we’ll read Psalm 9-11 and I continue to sketch in my Bible as we go. I hope you will do some sketching in your own, too, for it will help you lock a portion, or even the totality, of a psalm in your mind. Do you need some ideas as to what to draw? Look over my shoulder here …
This morning we read Psalm 9 and I’ll sketch a heart. Here’s the verse that inspires me to do so:
“I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of your wonderful deeds.” (9.1)
Mid-day we read Psalm 10. I’ve settled on drawing a hand. Why?
“Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up your hand; forget not the afflicted.” (10.12)
This evening we’ll be reading Psalm 11. I’ll draw a gust of wind:
“… a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.” (11.6)
